We Hung the Stars in the Sky (Single)

by The Rowan Amber Mill

/

about

A little tune about the way of things and how they are going. It seems irrefutable that we are currently witness to significant climate change. We are also witness to the rise of rogue politics becoming mainstream. We previously "enjoyed" at least a semblance of politicians working for the good of the country in exchange for their vote. Now? Not so much, hence governments appear, more than ever before, to be playing fast and loose with economic cycles helping to aid the increase of wealth as power, and forever more people forced into poverty.
This song is taken from our forthcoming album which has the title 'Evocation Projection Harmony Solidarity', those words being ones I believe that we are all going to need to be mindful of if we are going to be able to move forward together for the better. x.

lyrics

We hung the stars in the sky to show in this old town nobody's home.
They're all dressed up nowhere to go, can't afford to heat their homes.
The constant battle just to get by, the truth they speak it gets call lies.
What was the struggle for?
The grasping rich scream more, more, more, more.

We hung the stars in the sky to show, in this old town nobody's home.
All set of for London fair, where the charlatans repair.
Set your watch by the games they play, fuelled by subsidised champagne.
Just one day to feel that warmth, when all will taste these grapes of wrath.
When all will taste these grapes of wrath.

We should build for better times, this house of sand that's built on lies.
And it's sinking down beneath the waves.
(While) we're falling out over who they've made.
