This is a remastered version of a track that featured on The Active Listener's First Birthday compilation cassette in 2012.
It was originally conceived for an album inspired by the stories from The English Civil War, and was to have featured on an e.p. (alongside other completed songs The Wood Witch and Tree Song - among others).
The original idea was to make the song in the form of a medieval dirge. Unfortunately, we soon grew tired of its' dirgey nature, and it went through a few different mixes and versions.
If / when the Civil War album finally appears we might include the faster version of this track on it. Or not.
